“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
This verse reminds me of spring. I love how the transition from winter to spring symbolizes the transition from death to life that takes place in the believer’s life. Look at the lyrics of this song:
And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced
Teaching us to breathe
What was frozen through is newly purposed
Turning all things green
So it is with You
And how You make me new
With every season’s change
And so it will be
As You are re-creating me
Summer, autumn, winter, spring
(Take from “Every Season,” by Nichole Nordeman.)
I love how this song describes it. I love Spring in general, what with all the new life and such, and, of course, Resurrection Day coming up! That’s why I’m going to be doing a little series of blog posts on Spring and how it relates to the Christian.
Stay tuned for more posts in the near future!
